Abstract
Nestlé has announced the recall of select batches of a baby formula product in Australia, due to possible contamination with a toxin that can cause nausea and vomiting. Alfamino infant formula is sold through select pharmacies and hospitals in Australia and New Zealand, and the company says this is a precautionary measure. The safety of infants is our top priority, and we apologise for any concern this may cause," Nestlé health science, general manager Michael Edde said. Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) said affected products should not be consumed, and consumers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund."
