Combating Antimicrobial Resistance in Food and Companion Animals

News

Abstract

Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) is a major threat to global public health and veterinary medicine. Effective interventions from all veterinary sectors are needed to preserve antimicrobials' efficacy and minimize the negative outcomes of AMR for food and companion animals. Addressing AMR requires a deeper understanding of the mechanisms driving the emergence and spread of resistance, as well as the development and implementation of effective mitigation strategies.
