Abstract
More than 40 people have been infected with a rare strain of Salmonella in Austria. The Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES) said 49 sick people come from all nine federal states and have been infected with Salmonella Kenya since August 2025. Cases include 29 females and 20 males, with a median age of 43 and a range of 4 to 86 years old.
