Abstract
The World Health Organization (WHO) has released a framework for manufacturers, researchers and regulators for evaluating new tuberculosis (TB) diagnostic tests. Citing a growing need for increased TB testing, the WHO said that approximately a quarter of the world's population is estimated to be infected with mycobacterium tuberculosis, a pathogen that puts them at risk of progressing to disease.
