The analysis of #urine #samples is a time-consuming process that usually requires 1-2 days of #cultivation in #agar plate to #detect and #identify the type of #infection. In this project, in collaboration between OUH Odense Universitetshospital – Svendborg Sygehus and Lightnovo ApS, we develop a #Raman #microscopy based method that will avoid cultivation and will potentially allow to identify the type of #bacteria within minutes instead of days directly from urine without any sample preparation.
