Abstract
Wars amplify antimicrobial resistance (AMR) through a combination of medical necessity, systemic collapse, and social disruption. Injuries, overuse of antibiotics, weak health systems, poor sanitation, environmental damage, and human displacement all contribute to the spread of AMR. Addressing AMR in war zones requires not only medical interventions but also peace, stability, and the rebuilding of resilient health systems.
