Abstract
One in five new grants go to UK-based researchers, as overall success rate falls UK research institutions have come out on top in the latest round of the European Research Council's Advanced Grant scheme, hosting almost 20 per cent of all successful grant winners. Advanced Grants offer up to €2.5 million over five years to established researchers, with extra funding available for startup costs.
