Abstract
Sickness-inducing bacteria found in human faeces has been discovered across Windermere in the biggest survey of its kind. Water quality testing found really concerning" pollution in England's largest and most famous lake, prompting calls from campaigners for "decisive action" to be taken. The two-and-a-half year survey carried out by 350 volunteers who collected more than 1,000 samples of water at more than 110 locations found levels of faecal bacteria peaked during the summer months."
