Abstract
A rare flesh-eating bacteria, Vibrio Vulnificus, has caused four deaths in Florida this year, raising concerns among health officials. With 448 cases and 100 deaths recorded since 2016, the bacteria thrives in warm, brackish seawater, particularly from May to October. Infections occur through contaminated seafood or open wounds exposed to infected waters.
