Abstract
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a significant threat to us all. In 2021, AMR was associated with an estimated 4.71 million deaths worldwide. Unfortunately, if this trend continues, this number might increase to over 8.22 million deaths by 2050. In this study, the scientists mapped the antibiotic cross-resistance to determine effective drug pairs. Combining specific antibiotics can help reduce resistance evolution, offering a strategy to counteract AMR.
